Add us to the list of BYC foreclosure prospects

I've got a job interview (FINALLY!) tomorrow afternoon for a doggie daycare where they need someone to open in the morning and act as customer care, then do dog handling in the afternoon. She said she was impressed by my dual resume (I've dog handled, and was a customer service representative) so, score!

*crosses fingers very, very, hard*

waiting for update!!!!

Well, she called me right before the interview was scheduled to tell me that it will have to be another day, because one of her existing employees' husbands got laid off and that employee needs to pick up new hours. So...the shift that she was going to hire for is not the shift that she's hiring for. She said she has to rearrange the schedule and then will call to tell me which hours are available, and that the position is no longer full time, but will be 20-30 hours of part time work.

I told her no problem, please call me, I'll take any hours you want to give me.

So, waiting to hear from her! Hoping I hear soon...we really really really need some money.

And in other stinky news, someone I had contacted awhile ago about English Angora rabbits for fibre production called yesterday and said she needs to rehome one of her young bucks to a good pet home for free, and that she was going to be having a few kits in a month or two that she also wants to find a free pet home for. I told her there's no way right now, and she said she'd give me a month/month and a half to call her back to tell her yea or nay for sure. So very very tempting to the bit of my mind that's trying to work towards urban sustainability, but the rest of my brain is laughing at that bit, and is sad.

I looked for a job myself for 2 months and finally I applies at Wal-Mart. I got a phone call the very next day! Sure, sure, some people would not want to do it, but, the fact is Wal-mart has a very high turn around time for new hires. I have been there almost 3 months and I actually really enjoy it! Plus, it does pay more than minimum wage, which was a huge plus and they have a night shift which pays more as well.
My husband's job is the main money source and he is in constant worry about lay off. The company has been laying off people for months, so every day I thank god he still has a job even though it is not paying like it used to. If he lost his job, we would be in so deep!

May I also suggest - Call the local nursing homes and take care of many of your issues by taking an Stna job health care the base wage is around 9 ( on average 627.00 take home for 2 weeks) and you could be carrying benefits the hours will be awful the work hard but there are never layoffs and usually tons of OT -

We are Mill folks have watched this so many times since 77 -
we currently have 96 abandonned houses in our township because of a monster they created w/ the Septic laws here-- the mortage + taxes are just the monthly jolts - they added a septic update law and it caused the prices to go through the roof so people can't afford to keep paid off homes -
and we live in a working town - Prisons - Healthcare and trucking .
that's it for the ones who opt out of those it is join the military --

Good Luck --
