I'm in the process of introducing 2 female quail to an established pair. Their cages have been put next to each other at night and they've been in a run during the day, but the girls separated from the pair. Today, day 6, I tried them all together and after the first 10 minutes where the male went a bit crazy trying to mate with the new girls they all
settled down and I didn't see any more "action" from him, which was totally out of character and the main reason I needed to get him some more girls, in order to protect his first hen. One of the new girls is quite feisty and gave him a run for his money, probably wore him out! Tonight they are separate again and tomorrow I will put them together again One of them is quite feisty and gave him a run for his money!in the run. How long would you wait before trying them together at night? Obviously I won't be able to keep watch overnight. 🤔

Good luck.
There is no hard rule when it comes to integration.
It either works or it doesn't.
I avoid having to integrate quail at all costs.

Make sure you have plenty of room AND hiding spots.

Oh! Well I'll have to do my best then. I ended up with 3 males and 3 females due to owner being stuck abroad on Lockdown. Soon became apparent that the females were getting worn out, so I got some extra females. I'll hope for the best then. Thanks.

Can you post a few pictures of your cages?
Fake plants make great hiding spots.
The more room and hiding spots you have the better.

Sorry no proper phone camera. Just in basic cages overnight about 14" by 24".

Then in a 6 foot by 3 foot run in the the day (with separator) But ultimately to be housed in this. About 3 foot wide and 16" deep and 3 foot high. This is what 6 of them were in when I started looking after them for someone.
