So I broke a drill bit today the one you use for pilot holes (5/32) and mine has the bigger end on it .. I guess so you can change it quickly. I had bought new bits b/c I told the guy I was guaranteed to break many.. but it didn't have that bigger end on it.. so I called my dad to ask and he said I could still use the little bit without the hexagon thing on the end.. I could hear the OMG. you know nothing in his voice.
,, I am still going to Home Depot in the morning to get the bit with hexagon thing attached as it is easier to switch between that and the screw driver thingy. (hope my words aren't too fancy?? heh ) I told my dad my next step was making a door to which he told me over the phone exactly how to make a door.. Hopefully I can do what he said to do.. I told him just how bad the beginnings of this run was and he replied with "you really want it looking like crap??" Or something to the effect. Well fine.. I do think since I started making the 6x6 panels that it looks better in that part and I already have started adding fencing to the first part. he said he'd like to tear it down when he visits.. but I don't think we have time for that (he's building a wet bar in my basement and bringing his dogs that would LOVE to eat my chickens!).. So maybe if this part I'm building on now that visually looks better although not perfect as I'm doing a bit of a balancing act on it till I connect
, I may want to think of ideas to "hide" the other parts.. Maybe I'll have to put a giant painting in there. maybe paint a big chicken on a OSB board and nail it to the bad parts with shelter overhead and make it like a covered bus stop ??? LOL. I don't know? but I do know I've so eager to get those chicks in there and the first part while uglier will hold.. and already has fencing on it. I do NOT want to tear it down.. Ok.. maybe hubby can when he returns.. or if my dad could do it.. he'd have to do it quick.. I'm tired and i want it done yesterday and the working alone thing is getting old.. Even my kids told me tonight that when are we going to slow down? I have been going non stop between outside tree work to chicken work.. I don't think we've had one day where we just took it easy.. If I wasn't working outside I am cleaning like a maniac inside.. I could use a day to veg out! But first.. finish the run.. I need to get back to art.. but run first!

ps and Shannon,.. when are you traveling across country with your handy hubby and the wine! tee hee! Yeah.. it would be dangerous if you were close!
