Today we bought 4 Isa Browns... The last of 50 a woman had. Apparently they’ve spent past 4 months in a shed as they had a fox problem ( all 50 hens) They are 35 weeks old and apparently moulting. 2 are so pale in face and combs. They have been eating non stop since we got them home 2 hrs ago. I’m definitely not integrating them with our 6 healthy hens for quite a while.
Could I have advice on their condition? And what I should do re: introducing them when they are healthy enough?
Thanks in advance 😊 DDC8AB30-86CF-4726-B9A7-E7651A3F4B4B.jpeg 339E5D21-2565-49A2-931A-1E60D58348D0.jpeg 55C407EA-C2F9-4B33-93CB-97788CC049F4.jpeg 1E1BB998-7030-4F93-B268-3035E6068688.jpeg 43489017-CD9C-4738-8D48-FA8FBD7A338F.jpeg F4F680CA-AE9A-4ED1-B54B-4DFAC3602F56.jpeg

Try feather fixer feed or high protein treats like scrambled egg and mealworms. I would keep those 4 separated until they grow their feathers back, so they don't get picked on. This will also give you time to see if they have any diseases, or if one of them is doing the feather-eating. Poor things. I'm glad their situation is getting better.
