Adding a duck or two, what breed to get?

I have two ducks currently, they’re about 6 weeks old, and I’m fairly certain I have a male fawn and white runner and a female Peking, but I wanted to get another female duck so that my runner doesn’t get too aggressive during breeding season (even though he’s smaller than her). Here comes the decision making. There are about 4 breeds that I could get near me (I’m keeping them for eggs and mostly as pets, outside of course) I have a friend who would be willing to sell me either a female Muscovy about the same age as mine, or two unsexed Muscovy ducklings. There’s also some blue swedish, some pekings and some Cayugas for sale near me that I’m considering, but I’d only be able to get two at most. I also want to be able to have some of the ducks duckings so I can have them breed and have a small flock.

if anyone could drop some advice that’d be appreciated, thanks!

tl;dr : I have a f Peking and a m f&w runner and I’m trying to see which local breed would be best to get

They also have Rouen ducks so that’s another to add to the list of possibilities!
also ***pekin ducks not Peking, my bad

My advice probably isn't super useful but get as many female ducks as you can haggle for. Craigslist folks are normally willing to negotiate. If they say each duck is $20 then ask for 3 for $50. Ask if they offer discounts for multiples. Oh if you're already mixing your breeds up and not looking to breed pure then consider looking for cross/farmyard mix bred ducks! They cost WAY less where I am. Someone was selling females for $5 a bird last month. I was super excited to go get them and then the fires swept through and they no longer have those ducks :(

First, I would not just add the one Muscovy. I would not expect the two you have to be kind to a lone outsider. Also, further offspring of a Pekin x Muscovy would be sterile. So, if your goal is offspring, that wouldn’t work out as well.
Genetically, I would get the Blue Swedish. To be blue they have to be heterozygous or carry two different alleles for that trait. Since each parent only gives their offspring one, you will get more variety in your offspring. Crossed with a fawn and white Runner, I think you would get some pretty babies.

ok !! thank you everyone!! i really really appreciate the advice !! I will probably try and get two ladies from the same seller that way they have a buddy, but I’m planning on getting a swedish blue and a cayuga if they’re still available. i’ll keep you updated!
