My Dad has one of the standard foam incubators WITHOUT the circulating fan.... he has had poor luck at hatching the last few times.

I borrowed it this weekend and I plan on adding a computer fan with a 12v power supply.

Any reason this would not work? Should the fan be on high or low? Its a little giant I think so where do I add the fan?

I plan on testing it this week and maybe adding eggs by the weekend.

Any suggestions?

I cant remember how big a computer fan is, I dont think that big, but you dont want too much forced air so probably on low. The fans only job is to make sure the temp is more even in the incubator. I had a foam one with the fan and it was located on the top in the center next to the circuit board. Hope this helps.

Yes I did..

I added the fan last night and was suprised at how well it stabilized the temps...

Finding a power supply was easy. I used one from an old phone.

I took pictures and but forgot the camera so i'll try to add them tomorrow.

Thank you very much for your help

Please PM me with your first hatch results, would love to know how it works for you. My son just put one in my LG for me and I have it full of eggs, I hope all goes well

I was amazed at how it is holding the temp and humidity.
