Adding a goose to duck flock? Input please

I'm getting two fawn and white runner ducklings in April and would love to add a female Toulouse Goose to my flock. I currently have 6 ducks all female and two female Leghorns. My plan was to raise the gosling in the brooder with the two runners ducklings so she grows up comfortable with other ducks but I would love input from those with goose and duck experience. I don't want to do anything irresponsible. Thank you all in advance!

I raised mine together but I would suggest getting her a goose friend that speaks her language.

Thank you. I want them to be as happy as possible so if I need two I'll get two. Do yours get along good with the other ducks?

The ones raised in the same brooder got along very well. But if you get a gander I would have further instructions. As long as they are all female you should be fine. Just keep an eye out as the size difference gets big. I had Africans which I think as more aggressive than Toulouse.

Good to know. Yes I was going to stay all with all females for now since I'm still learning and I know that adds a whole other set of possible issues. Four of my 6 I took in from a rescue because her Drakes were terrorizing them and she wanted to re-home with an all female flock. My two Blue Swedish are big girls but the rest are little Khakis and one Rouen about the same size as the Khakis.

I want a goose realy bad, But i visited a hobby farm and the geese sounded like people screaming it actualy startled me how loud they were

is it the males or the females who are loud?

My experience has been the opposite of ducks in that the females oink and the males honk @Miss Lydia could give better on this. It also depends on breed, Africans and Chinese can easily wake the undead. I think Buff and Tolouse are quieter.

Ganders are the loud ones! Embden gander ,my Toulouse goose kinda mumbles her voice is lower pitched my gander I swear could break glass! I’d get 2 females. If you want geese.
