adding babies to my hatched ones

My hens are sitting 3 of them be be exact. my son thought we needed more babies, but what i'm wondering is when these hatch can i go get some more babies and will the hen accept them in and take care of them? I was gonna go get some different ones anyways and am wondering if i could just mix them in with my hens. so let me know if im am thinking right or if i'm asking for trouble. thanks

Some hens will take anything and others will only take what they hatched. Chicks talk to the hen during the last day before hatching so they can recognize each other. So unfortunately there's no right answer. I would try it and see if they are accepted or not, but be careful that the hens don't kill them, and be ready to remove them and brood them.

well darn was hoping to get some different babies in here. i dont wanta get them and then get them killed. so go with what i have . thanks so much
