I have been told to add some extra calcium to my Cornish x diet to avoid leg problems. So the question is how much per bird? What source is best...lime, oyster shell, milk replacer? I have 22 birds that are about 10 days old and I am fermenting their feed for the most part. Can I put the calcium source in the fermentation bucket or just sprinkle on top?

I have heard that you shouldn't give them calcium aside from what is in their feed already because it causes kidney problems. Did you check your bag of feed to see what is already in there? If none, maybe look around for a feed that has a little? I give my layers oyster shell, but they rarely eat it.
