adding chickens to my flock

We are now left with a single Sussex hen who is a very friendly girl and even when we had 5 others hens she has never shown any aggression toward them. I don't think she will be happy on her own but can we add ex-battery hens to our coop? Will she attack them or will they gang up on her? Help?!

If possible you might try putting them or her in a cage within the coop for a few days first, then introduce them. That'd be my first try. Of course, you want to quarantine any new birds first otherwise you'll contaminate/infect her as well as your coop.
