adding chickens

I have two chickens and a friend gave me her 5 that are 4-5 years old..can I put them together?

There may also be a time period when you want to keep them apart if you are not familiar with the birds coming in - just to make sure they are healthy. There are quarantine articles on BYC as well. Best of luck to you!!
