Adding ducks advice

I have 1 male pekin- who is very attached to me and my chicken (they were raised together). He had a mate for about a year and raccoons got her

I saw these 2 ads on craigslist and feel bad for these boys- do you think 3 males can live peacefully together??

The Muscovy is quite a ways away from me- I'd only be able to get him if the owner was willing to meet me half way.

Oh, that's horrid about the raccoon. Pekins are such adorable ducks. I can definitely see why you want more - I so adore my duckies! That said, mine are all females and I've never personally kept male ducks.

I've heard that it's possible to keep males together in the absence of females, but I'm imagining it would depend quite a lot on the breed and your setup. I would also assume that it works best if they're raised together from ducklings. I do have a goose gander and keep roosters (not anywhere near each other) and I can't say that I'd personally want to try putting three adult male ducks together.

At the least, if you've already fallen in love with the cuties, I'd be very slow with the introduction and be sure that I had a backup plan in terms of enclosures in case things don't go well.
