Hi

I ordered 12 eggs for my incubator, we're on day 6 and only one egg is developing. I slipped in two on my own eggs, I don't know if they're fertile yet, 2 days ago. I really don't want this poor little egg to hatch and be on its own. If the two I put in are fertile and start to develop could I hatch out the first egg, and it only then having to be on it's own for a few days. I can stop my incubator turning that egg on day 18 and it will still turn the other two but I wasn't what would be best to do with the humidity? It would need increasing to facilitate the hatch, but would doing this on day 14 kill the other two? I am best ordering some more eggs and starting again?

I would raise the humidity on day 20 for the one that is hatching first. Then when it hatches remove the water and the other one would have dry down time before they need to hatch.

One other option is something I ran in to last year being flooded out of my house while I still had bators running. I wasnt there to raise humidity so a lot hatched at what humidity there was in the air. I dry incubate so there was never any water added the whole time. I must have placed a egg in the wrong row when i opened up my incubator this morning too add some eggs there was a chick setting there looking at me. Dry incubation dry hatch. My humidity stay about 30 the entire process

Good luck with the hatch.
