Mauve mottled Orpington

Actually mauve in general isn't ideal for sexlinks because mauve and blue chicks are hard to tell apart until they get their first feathers.
That’s good to know.

Is mauve mottled orpingtons a thing? If so how would I get to that point. I have blue and black mottled orpingtons. There is a lady 4 hours from me that has mauve orpingtons so I’m curious. Thanks
Mauve, as far as I understand, is blue + chocolate. So you just need to bring in the chocolate gene. Chocolate and mottled are both recessive genes, but I would think you could get to mauve mottled in 2 generations if you get a chocolate or mauve rooster.
