Mauve mottled Orpington

I'm not very well-versed in chicken genetics, but would breeding a mauve to another pastel mottled result in sex-links?
I couldn’t explain it but an earlier reply said roosters would be blue and black and hens mauve.

That’s interesting. I have bantam Cochins in the incubator both blue mottled and chocolate mottled so we will see.
Yeah crossing a chocolate mottled rooster over blue mottled hens would give you mauve mottled and chocolate mottled daughters, and blue mottled and black mottled sons carrying chocolate. Mauve mottled bred to chocolate mottled would give you mauve and chocolate mottled of both sexes.

Breeding mauve to another dark mottled chicken that isn't sexlinked would result in sexlinks. However, I don't know how easy they'd be to tell apart.

Bred to lavender would be easy, however, bred to blue you'd get some splash and splash and splash mauve are hard to tell apart.
