I have two 8 year olds, one six year old, and six 4 year olds. A neighbor needs to get rid of her four 18 month olds.

I understand that I am supposed to quarantine the New four. Anyone know how long?

Also I am in need of treating my nine with Coride. So the new ones are in jeopardy of getting the parasites from my girls.

I am assuming I give the new girls the same treatment.

Thanks as always for your help

If it was me, I would quarantine them for a minimum of 2 weeks. Depending on if your older girls have cocci or not, it is likely they will need a treatment as well in the future but no need to treat if they have no symptoms. Or at least that is my thoughts.

How close (proximity wise) is the neighbor's flock? If they've been coexisting relatively closely, they probably all have the same germs, parasites, etc. and so medical quarantine would be a moot point. You'd still need to do integration but could proceed to that point.

Otherwise the recommended period for a medical quarantine is 1 month.

Thank you very helpful
