Adding Hatchery Laying Pullets To My Existing Flock?

Woof, I live down here in the extreme heat and high humidity, swampy, and it starts early in the year and doesnt slack off sometimes til late October. It has nothing to do with Meyer Hatchery lol. I've just found out over time that Black Stars and Barred Rocks are better adept at handling our weather here and continue to lay despite the heat, when other breeds shut down. Red stars are RIR and White Plymouth Rock mixed. Not sure about Golden Buffs, might be the same or could be New Hampshire Red mixed with White Plymouth Rock...not sure. In any case they are both excellent layers and you'll get plenty of eggs guaranteed. The Black Stars are RIR mixed with Barred Rock. In my opinion the Black Stars have better temperment than the Red Stars.

That sounds like the weather we've been having here all summer! Ugh. The chickens are handling it ok but I do mist them with the hose in late afternoon, they don't seem to mind it at all. I have several jugs of frozen ice in the coop and run too. I don't ever remember having this long of a heat spell. No rain either. Good to know those breed can handle it.

Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
