I just Recieved my baby chicks yesterday and had a couple not survive the journey. My local feed shop will have baby chicks available tomorrow and I'd like to pick up 2-3 more. They say the babies should be about 3 days old. My 5 will be 4 days old. Can I add the newbies to the brooder with my five? Is this not a good idea? Any suggestions? I'd like to avoid having to have a second brooder as I don't have the space, so I won't do it if that's what I'd have to do.

You should be fine. If the new ones get picked on initially, you might put a little divider between them for a day or 2 so they can see but not touch!.. But being this new, I doubt you'll have issues.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking (hoping). I'm a newbie to this myself, and I'm already addicted!
