If all else fails and they're chased in the coop, I'd put a few hiding places in there for them, like leaning a pallet against a wall or, if you have a wooden box, setting it near the wall, overturned old chair, etc.
If there are issues now, those will very likely go away once they're all the same size.
That said, we have six nearly one-year-olds who still sleep on the floor in the corner. These are silkies who don't have perches per se anyway, as they would rather be up on the nest boxes or railing in front of them. I don't care where they sleep, as long as they're locked in there at night.
