So after thinking we lost one of our Ameraucana babies yesterday, I had contacted the breeder I got her from to see if she had any hens she was willing to part with. Turns out she has some 4 month pullets from the same hatch.
This missing pullet was in the coop this morning (roosted on top of the coop for the night which is why we couldn't find her) so we still have her, plus her brother, and an Icelandic pullet the same age as them....they are all 4 months old.
If I just slip the new pullet in at night up on their roost, do you think that might work? These girls aren't aggressive at all to anyone, and the rooster is so far as sweet as can be with them.
We also have 5 barred rock hens (23 weeks old), two silkie pullets and a rooster (17 weeks and super docile).....the three little flocks all roost on separate boards in different areas.
