Adding Pedialyte to Water

Is this a good idea? It says it helps with dehydration.

It can be used but they make vitamin and electrolyte powder for chickens. Anything like this can cause pasty butt or diarrhea in chicks so they should be given carefully and for only a day or two. If you give them access to plenty of water and feed they shouldn't need it unless they are sickly. Good Luck

It has been in the 100's everyday and I was thinking that if I gave it to them one day a week it might help.
