my 7 chicks that I ordered last month has shipped today, I surely hope they all arrive ok, the weather is pretty darn cold (30 degrees) I got the brooder ready and warming up,
they consist of..... 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks, 2 Golden Laced Wyandottes, 2 Buff Orpington hens and 1 Buff Orpington Rooster,

i was so worried about mine too when they shipped..luckily for me they all arrived safely with no health issues at all! mine shipped from ohio to south carolina in two days! although i had to go pick them up from the distribution center in the next town over because didn't want them just sitting there all night for no reason! i wish you luck with them and i hope they all arrive safe and sound! <3

Today makes 2 full days that my chicks have been in their brooder, knock on wood, they all seem to be eating, drinking, no pasty butt, they seem to look healthy, and not to stressed from their shipping adventure, but they still are nervous when I come up to the brooder, so before I get there I call them so they know I am coming up to the brooder. I thought I had the temp at around 95, but when I went to check on them this morning they were huddled together under the lamp. so I did lower it. I will be going out soon to check on them again.

Aww, they are sweet. Did you build your own brooder? What materials did you use?
