Vent sexing is the sure way to tell the sex of your poults - it's very easy

Steve in NC

im pretty sure vent sexing isnt always 100% sure
its the most accurate one besides seeing the one who lays the egg and hearing that gobble.

im pretty sure vent sexing isnt always 100% sure

No but it is 90-95% accurate.

Seeing a young poult strut that is 4-5 weeks old doesn't mean that is a tom either !!!

mostly what steve knows i know...i just recently joined this site

Even though Steve and I don't see eye to eye on certain subjects most of the time !

I would certainly find it hard to believe that you would have anywhere near the vast knowledge that man carries.

Again aren't you 15 years old ??

Oh yeah..I forgot ..

Didnt mean to dis ya Harps..I know you are one of the other turkey peeps to have a vast knowledge of turkeys etc..

Its nice to know I can come here to ask all these silly questions about my baby.

yes .. yes I know.. its not a baby.. lol but he is MY baby. Stupid bird is so darn ugly he stole my heart

it struts everyday since it was 8 days old, also its feather tips are longer than the others that also indicates a male at a young age...pretty sure its a male...PRETTY SURE not 100%...clarified enough people? *cough cough* HARP

anyway...to all you haters out there, AGE IS BUT A NUMBER
none of you know me so shut up already! i could know as much as steve, i dont though, i said most, meaning MOST OF THE BASICS

Kody,

It's true that chronological age isn't always an indicator of knowledge or maturity, but a quick look back at some of your earlier posts makes it clear that you really don't know even the basics about turkeys. You are also disrespectful of other forum members and impatient. You don't bother to use full sentences, proper capitalization or punctuation, and you don't check your spelling nor make sure that your questions are intelligible. If you don't get an answer to one of your questions immediately, you bump your posts.

Frankly, I think you are lucky that people on here aren't ignoring you completely. I suggest you read the forum rules, spend more time reading and researching before you post, and avoid personal attacks.

Sincerely,

what does this indicate...a purr...just learning how to use their voice

is a purr a good indicator of a female?
....

one of best conditioned poult died. she was found dead with a yellow mucas coming out of her beak when my dad kind of squeezed her, not hard though but just to check if she was dead

please help!!
....

will the males be larger then the females even as poults like around 9 days?

I do have to agree with 10ducks.

No one is "hating" on you. But your age shows in most of your posts.
I have a 17 year old.. So I know a little about about kids your age. Acting like a rude brat will get you ignored on here very fast.. just a little friendly advise to you

You want to be taken serious and offer some good advise? Do so but do it with respect.
