Adding ventilation to the coop

Or a neighbor to barter with. Or a knowledgeable friend. Or watching lots of You Tube videos. Or getting some library books.

But yeah, learning it as a kid... I sure wish I had.

They also sell damper kits that are automatic open when it's hot and close when it's cold.

IMO, that would be a completely waste of money. Overhead ventilation would never need to be closed. Chickens need an abundance of fresh air in all climates and seasons.

Their built-in down parkas keep them warm if we do our part by keeping them dry. :)

It's not a complete waste of money if the winters are very cold and the summers are hot. It's up to them at the end of the day.
