My chickens are now about 12 weeks old and are on a "Triple duty" feed which my feed store recommends. It is not medicated feed and when I asked what people do to take some extra precautions I was shown, and I bought, a small 8 oz. package of Durvet Vitamins & Electrolytes for 3.99usd.

I haven't tried it yet but wondered if anyone out there had?
Looks like it can be added to feed or water.

It seems very concentrated and we've worked out it would be 1/2 teaspoon of the mix per gallon of water.

I use that, mixed into my chickens water, only on really hot days.
I fed medicated feed when my chickens were young, to help prevent an overwhelming coccidiosis infestation. To my knowledge, electrolytes are not going to prevent coccidia.

I use it too. Sometimes I put it in their water and sometimes I mix it in their mash, expecially when it really hot out.
