So then some water must get on the eggs, right? and that's not a problem?

Some gets on them, but not enough to matter. I have plenty of room to add water - you need to go look at it!!!

Darn I was ready to scream...just pour the water in for god sake

LO!!!! Me too!!! The OP just needed to SEE it.

I don't pour. I use a needleless syringe and squirt it in. I just don't like opening up the bator.

Another method I tried .... I have some narrow tubing, and I inserted in into the hole on top (not the vent hole). The tubing is long enough to reach into the trough. I then used a syringe (with a needle, because the tubing is so narrow) to add water that way.

She is talking about this hole.... I pour between the eggs as well.. But I guess if the thing is jam packed full, it would be an issue.

Where do you get tubing small enoug h for that hole? I bought some aquarium tubing today and it won't begin to fit in that hole, though it does fit in the vent hole.
