ADDITIONAL INFO: Ugh. My Margo. Again.

Brag and video all you want about the dog!
Did you raise and train her?
Well... yes, but not enough. She’s a border collie (obviously), which is known as the smartest breed. She would LOVE it if I’d do agility training with her, but I haven’t. She can do basic obedience and is eager to please. I’d love to train her to herd the flock in from free ranging!

Just that she's obedient says a lot....
...that takes a strong and smart human(a womans best attributes ;) ).

Thanks!!! It was pretty cute when we went to get her. She picked us! She was all full of kisses. My husband wanted this adorable fluffy male, but he was super shy. The kids and I had to point out the obvious... she was coming home with us!

I received the final report. Not a ton if new info.
• Infectious Bronchitis test came back negative (so now I don’t know what my flock has)
• She is sticking by her Marek’s diagnosis. She said Margo did not have the full blown tumorous disease, but microscopy was consistent with background infection.
• She said while Margo did not have a “totally unhealthy” amount of fat, she recommends cutting back on calories if I suspect others may be carrying extra fat (I do).

My interpretation is still that an acute infection did her in. She may have been immunocompromised by the Marek’s and we know she had chronic egg yolk peritonitis. I find this fascinating, considering Margo never stopped laying well and did not have visible egg yolk in her abdomen; it was discovered hanging around her organs by microscopy. Makes me think it may be even more prevalent than we thought. It may be there, even when undetected by backyard necropsy.
