Chickens love vegetables, but veggies don't really offer them anything special. They get all the nutrients they need from regular commercial chicken feed. Still, it is perfectly fine to give them some vegetables as treats!

Oyster shell is calcium. You should be able to get oyster shell or some sort of calcium at your feed store.

If a bird refuses to drink water then they are ill in some way. What other symptoms is this bird exhibiting? Give the bird a complete over all exam looking for anything that might be causing illness.
