Adopted chick - turns to be a rooster - what breed?

I talked already to the officer from Animal Service and he was quite happy about the idea of putting collar on our chick. And if the collar will not work I will certainly have to give him back to Animal Shelter, so you don't have to be worried.
Any advises on collar?

There is older Star (named Wilson) on the left, Rhode Island Red in front of the Rooster, and Danish Brown Leghorn near him (both born around mid Feb).
Wilson looks like a Black Australorp rather than a Black Star and your adopted chick does look like an Austra White rooster. As far as what size of no crow collar you need to get, you will need to measure your rooster's neck to determine the appropriate size of your no crow rooster collar. Every rooster is different. Measure around the lower portion of the neck, under the feathers and close to the skin. You will need to add at least 1.5 inches (3.8cm) of overlap for the velcro to adhere correctly. For example, if your rooster's neck is 6.5 inches (16.51cm) around you should order a medium (8"- 20.32cm)) no crow rooster collar. When in doubt order one size larger.

Thanks for detailed info! I think my rooster is only 3.5 months old - he is smaller and lighter then my 4 months old Danish Leghorns - should I wait a bit longer before ordering collar? On the other hand I did notice his first attempts to crow - how long it normally takes when he starts tormenting my neighbors?

Roosters normally start crowing at about 4-5 months, although a few of them can take nearly a year. I would wait until those first attempts to crow before ordering the collar.

I started my adventure with my ladies half year ago when somebody posted on craigslist about lonely survivor of raccoon ride on the chicken coop. Koko is around 2 years old now, very friendly and calm, loves my kids, lay brown legs 6-7 times per week. Will you help me to recognize the breed?

Darkest egg belongs to Koko.

Koko in the middle.
Wilson (Black Star?) on the left and Olaf (Thode Island Red) on the right:

And Wilson - grey legs, light brown eggs every day, black, almost greenish feathers, very little reddish around the neck - hard to see it. Very calm nature - the biggest and the lowest in rank between my Ladies (to my surprise!).

I was so sure it is a Black Sex Link Star

It is not?
