Adopted Pet Birds and Names

Silly question, but if you have ever adopted a pet chicken that was rehomed, do you rename it or refer to it by it's original name? It's not like they know their names or anything like a dog would, but I'm curious.

I'm adopting some soon (if all goes according to plan). I think they're coming with names.

Totally shallow over here, but I'm like, what if I don't like the names? Lol

Here's the best pic she had. They're all female: a duck (I'm thinking she's a Pekin hybrid), a Sebright, and what looks like a Serama.

My ducks are usually named after foodie things (Foggy, Marmalade, Clementine, Peanut) and my chickens usually have flower names. I'm good with breaking from those themes if the name is right.

Just be warned: I can be picky! Don't take it personally if we disagree!

The Pekin looks like she's full from the picture. I legit just had one of my Pekins get stuck on the deck an come to our slider window and watch us XD XD XD I think that Horizon would be pretty for the Sebright and for the Serama... do you like human names or more earthy?

Horizon is a pretty name! Earthy is better, but I'm open.

She looked kinda small for 100% Pekin, but I'm not super familiar with them.

Someone on the forum names their chickens after egg dishes. Omlet, Quiche, Souffle... I found it charming.

Most of the chickens I've adopted didn't have a name so I called them whatever I wanted.

I have a small Pekin and a very large and a middle one XD All girls. They vary a lot but you'll be able to tell when you get her Maybe Camellia for the Serama. Its a kind of white flower. Here are some other ones too (All white flower variants) :
