We bought 2 golden laced Wyandotte hens 8 weeks ago, this one is starting to look different than the other one with a much redder comb, a little bigger and back feathers haven’t in. Could it be a roo rather than a pullet? Thanks

Well, compared to the other one in that second picture you can definitely tell its different. I'd guess you may have a roo, but I'm no pro at identifying between roos and hens so its only a guess!

It certainly looks to be a male, but Wyandotte females can get big, colorful combs early. So I wouldn't say it is 100% going to be a rooster. One thing to watch is the feathering on the shoulders. If it is nicely laced then it may be a female. If you see solid colored gold to red patches with little or no lacing, then it's a male.

Basically I'm saying it will take more time to be certain.
