Adopted Pet Birds and Names

I have a small Pekin and a very large and a middle one XD All girls. They vary a lot but you'll be able to tell when you get her :) Maybe Camellia for the Serama. Its a kind of white flower. Here are some other ones too (All white flower variants) :

Camellia
Bouvardia
Tulip
Snowdrop
Orchid

Gardenia
Magnolia
Iris
Hyacinth
Gladiolus
Clematis
I like Tulip!

Great minds think alike because I already have an Iris and a Hyacinth! Haha! I had a Magnolia, too, but she passed last year. Orchid is on my list, too, but I'm saving that name for an exotic breed, like a Sumatra or a Cemani - lol!

I also have: Zinnia, Aster, Poppy, Bryony, Violet, Dandelion, Clary, Rue, and Picotee (my rooster who was supposed to be a girl).

I have adopted a cat and a dog who were already named but the names they had didn't suit them. Felt zero guilt about changing it. 😄

Well, I ended up not getting the chickens. I really didn't want to stress out my flock any more, and I didn't want to quarantine for 4 weeks, tbh. But I did get the duck. She had no name.

I named her Julep.
☺️

Silly question, but if you have ever adopted a pet chicken that was rehomed, do you rename it or refer to it by it's original name? It's not like they know their names or anything like a dog would, but I'm curious.
I keep the names, because, I know if I were to rehome I would want my bird's names kept.
