A neighbor purchased pullets (at Rural King/Hoover Hatchery) but was unable to keep this seven week old suspected roo. They were told this was a Golden Laced Wyandotte. We adopted him for our flock but he doesn't look like a wyandotte. Understanding that they can occasionally have a single comb, the feathers are not matching either. Appreciate any thoughts.

Definitely not a Campine. They’re incredibly rare and this bird’s type, shank color, and eye color are way off. He appears to be one of Hoover’s designer mixes. His “pencilling” will most likely molt out and appears to just be juvenile feathering. If I had to guess I would say he’s a Starlight Green Egger or something similar

This bird isn’t even autosomal barred. Having raised a Deathlayer (many physical traits in common and closely related to the Campine) and this bird is so incredibly different. The eye color is extremely off, type incredibly wrong, and it’s completely lacking dermal melanin of the shanks. @Amer

Hmm actually, autosomal barring would be my guess, and Campine eye color is often wrong, that said with that shank color, he is probably not purebred. Since has less black barring on his breast it makes me think split partridge and birchen base.

So, not a Campine...
Some kind of mix.
