adopting my first battery hen!

Even if you decide to skip the medical quarantine, she needs to be separated simply for her and the others to get used to each other. They need to be able to see and hear each other. It might not take long at all, or the usual month might be safer for everybody.

Hopefully one or two will start hanging around near her so you can put them together a while first. I hope there's a large yard they're in at least some of the time, so you can see who is interested, and for the introduction as well. You probably know that treats at the same time will help distract everyone.
