ADOR1 Automatic Coop Door?

Well I've just ordered the ADOR1; we'll see how it goes and let you know. I'm excited about the lift door since I'm in windy West Texas on a hill.

I'm in Texas and have had mine for
Several months now. I love it. No
More early morning trips to the coop to
Let them out. Yay!!

OK here it is my ADOR! Its wonderful. I just got it and had it installed by the builder who just finished building my new coop. The first night it worked great then the second night I JOGGED it to STAY shut and it did! I need it closed for a bit until I get my new chicks used to their new home! YEAH LOVE IT, THANK YOU ROD for a GREAT PRODUCT!

The long wait is over!!!!! My ADOR2 is installed and has been working like a charm for the last 3 weeks. We have seen snow and sub zero temps and it hasn't missed a beat. I love the larger size and my geese and turkeys can go through with no problem. Rod did a great job listening to my "wants" and put out another great product. I would highly recommend the larger door to anyone with larger birds. It has made my life so much easier. Happy momma here!

Hi Rod,

You need to create a Facebook page so that all of us fans can post photos and reviews! The Chicken Fountain is another must have chicken product and he went up to 15,000 likes on Facebook in a few months. So it would generate more business for you. I tell everyone about your Ador and the chicken fountain, both made my chicken life SO MUCH easier!!

Anyway I was wondering what is the recommended time that the battery should be changed in the Ador? Mine is still running after 8 months of use, but I am not sure if its opening/closing slower meaning I need a new battery, or if its just my imagination? Thank you!

You will love it!!!  Installed my first one in May last year, second one in September.  Both are running absolutely fantastic!

Probably need to change the battery in the May install pretty soon.

That's awesome! It was the Adorstore model or the pullet shut & I don't have power ran to the coop yet, so this seemed liked the logical thing to do. :)

I emailed [email protected] with this question back in March but haven't received a reply yet, I tried again today, but in case I don't get a response:

Does anyone know the size of the hex nut used to bolt the motor housing onto the door frame? I need to buy a nut driver to get in there to shim it out (it's opening slower and slower every day, even with a fresh battery) but I don't want to have to buy a whole set of drivers.

Thanks!
