Adult duck with weak legs???

He's sleeping in a little make shift carrier right now. He looks fine when he is awake, standing and looking around. He is so calm though, funnily enough that worries me. He isn't putting up any kind of a fight. Either he just feels too bad to argue or maybe he knows he needs help.

If ducks can do anything it is make an area as muddy as they please. I was also worried about the water bucket being a possible cause. I spray it out every morning but they always have it just as muddy as it was to begin with an hour later.

I just went out and gave it a good scrub and wash with some dish soap. Its setting out in the sun right to dry right now. We have some vinegar on hand, I never thought to use that but I might make that part of my routine now.

Hoping none of my other ducks get it.

I hope they don't either. White vinegar is a good cleanser, I also put ACV into their drinking water every other day.

His poo is solid and normal colored. He's looking a lot better.

Apple Cider Vinegar. Most often recommended unpasteurized, with the mother.

Apple Cider vinegar can be used as an electrolyte ,a tonic and for cleaning [I usually use white for cleaning] I can kill certain bacteria. Amiga maybe able to elaborate on that.

Oh! It sounds like a nice thing to have on hand. All I have is white vinegar but that'll do.


Update: Scout looks fine. He's up and about, happy, and looks like he is putting weight back on. He was standing really tall and handsome for me this morning.
