Good Morning Flock,

Please excuse my inexperience self, but are these adult feathers starting to grow in?

Thank you for the help!

Here is a picture of one of mine at 5 weeks old.

Looking scruffy and is totally not happy with me handling her.

No that is not bunny poo behind and to her left. That broody house sits under a flowering pear tree. It drops tiny fake fruit.

Thank you for letting me know that information!

I am really enjoying seeing how fast they change!!
All that down will fly all over the place...and the pin feather sheathing.
If your chicks are not outside already you'll want move them out before this 'bird dust' coats everything in your house.
Some down will stick the ends of the new feathers,
especially where they can't reach to preen it off.
When the next set of feathers come all the first feathers will fall out,
will look like someone broke open a feather pillow.

Thanks Aart. That reminds me, I need to put a new filter cartridge in my air cleaner. LOL! And I only have 3 babies this time.
