When do chickens get their final, adult feathers? My 14-weekers are losing their tails and some other feathers, so I'm assuming they will grow their adult ones soon? These are heritage RIRs and so far their tails are not yet black, but I'm expecting it. My roos is just beautiful, his green tail is just starting to grow. He hasn't crowed yet, though.
