think what your seeing is the clocoa[sp] outside she must have passed what ever that thing was you posted earlier. how is her vent looking now is it normal again?
Okay I have something to share now, don't know if it was duck or chicken since some of my ducks do lay in the chicken nest boxes, but when I went to collect eggs I found a very strange colored egg smashed with someting like thick clear goo, I wish I hadn't thrown it away but not sure who laid it, I have a Brahma hen who is going on 5 that has been going into the nest boxes like she was going to lay but hasn't laid in a long time, I'm wondering if it is her. I'll have to check vents this evening when everyone goes in to bed. But just thought I'd share my experience with a strange one too. I'm sure she is probably feeling separation anxiety being away from the flock. Her vent seems closed and is covered with feathers like normal. However, she seems really distressed. At least some of the distress is surely caused by her separation from the rest of the flock. (I have her quarantined so I can monitor her feed and water intake as well as egg production. She didn't lay an egg this morning.
What was wrong with the duck? Because my duck has the same thing attached to her and there is no vet that wants to see her and i don’t know what to do.
