adult mourning dove help

unfortunately no one here sells diamond doves due to "low demand " the closest pet store currently has a ringneck dove female and im considering keeping her in a separate cage next to his as a companion what do you think

That sounds like a good idea. Ringneck doves do look more like a mourning dove, but I don't know if that will help them get along better or not.
 
ok thankyou i was worried that because she didn't look like a mourning dove (being completely white with red eyes) he wouldn't think of her as a potential friend or mate and would that be possible ? a hybrid between ringneck and mourning dove that is
