Advantages of Poultry

I am starting the process of changing our neighborhood covenants to allow small livestock. I am trying to come up with reasons that will convince people about how wonderful it is to have chickens and other poultry nearby. Please help me think of as many reasons as possible! Here is what I have so far:


They give you fresh, free range eggs
They produce great compost
They reduce pests such as ticks, mosquitos, roaches, etc.
They make wonderful pets
They eat weeds
They eat your leftovers and turn them into compost

They can be used for meat and teach kids the responsibility of owning a pet.
