Adventures in Incubating Shipped Eggs

Pics
So I said that I wasn't going to candle my shipped Bielefelder eggs....but I did. Yesterday was day 15 and we were able to see good egg cells and moving around chicks in all three of the eggs. (I only candled 3 eggs and my youngest son was so excited that I was afraid he was going to bump me with his dancing around)
:wee

I wouldn't beat yourself up over this either. I've mistakenly culled a living chick before, and it was tough and I was very upset, but it was a honest mistake and I learned from it. This is an imperfect process and you do the best you can. :hugs

Thank you!

I candled my remaining two today. Both are active! Video clip:

I think that would have been the Quail that laid the egg!
Well I don't like her doing that!
I need to have a nice chat with her and explain that it may look nice but it doesn't help me to see into the egg.
:barnie
Probably not as bad as you trying to see into your dark shell chicken eggs but geez...Have I mentioned I am not a fan of spots?
