More candling results!
-On Day 5, I candled the 29 shipped eggs from four different eBay sellers, and in two different incubators. 16 showed wonderful development (big, red spiderwebs) and 13 were uncertain or unpromising.
-Today, Day 7, I candled the 13 uncertain eggs. Two had moving little chicks! That was a welcome surprise, and also means that I have 100% development on the Svart Hona eggs that were shipped across the country. Two more were completely clear, and one had a very distinct blood ring, so I tossed those three.
-That leaves me with 18 eggs that are developing beautifully, and eight that I don't quite have the heart to toss out yet, just in case they might have growing chicks.
-On Day 10, I'll candle just those eight uncertain eggs again. I'll leave the good eggs undisturbed until Day 14.
-How long do you let unpromising eggs stay in the incubator?
