Adventures in Incubating Shipped Eggs

:wee You should be proud of following your gut on this one. Keep us posted on how the baby does. And give yourself a pat on the back from me. :wee
Thank you. I'll definitely be updating about this baby and the other two (whenever they decide to do something other than wiggle haha)

Day 16 Update

7 eggs look really good. Dark, almost fully filled in shells, lots of veining, saw movement in several of them.

2 eggs are very doubtful -- one orpington and one maran. Both are only half filling the eggs and, although I could still see some veining, I saw no movement. No smell, so I left them in. In two days when I go into lockdown, I will candle these two one more time and, if no movement, do a float test.

So, out of 15 eggs, 7 look good at this point. Really hoping at least some of these hatch.

Baby goose hatched! It's napping after the trauma of having its bottom sprayed with an antiseptic, since a tiny bit still needs to be absorbed and the last thing it needs is an infection.

I'll get some pictures once it wakes back up.
