Oh rats! I so feel your pain. Out of the 5 shipped eggs that hatched, 4 are roosters for certain, and only one -- the runt -- still might be a hen. One of the cockerels, the first one that hatched actually, I had to cull last week, because it was pestering a broody hen and trying to attack her chicks. So sad. As long as the temperament is good, I am going to keep either my little black maran, or the lone orpington that hatched, to make baby chicks for next year. They are really handsome. The Maran is better looking when the sun hits his feathers and you can see the colors in them. If they are both nice, it's going to be a tough choice.
