I hope this is the right place to keep a diary of sorts

Today I decided to added 13x10 to the 16x8 to my main coop run and increased the breeding pin run to a total of 27x4.

I started to build a new brooder for my week old chicks this evening and hope to complete it Tuesday and move them into their home this weekend

Great work on the brooder. I wish my hubby was interested in birds. Anytime I want something done it's a chore to him. Those are very beautiful birds. That roo is stunning.

My misses( God Bless her) is totally oppsite of me ""she is afraid of chickens"" and cant bare the thought of having to collect the eggs lol, lol

She isnt to crazy about me having chickens but tolerates my hobby

Other than putting the wire on top after I move it into the Garage this evening the brooder is complete and

I have panels cut to add or take away from the top to help control the temp as needed and with the open panels on top and hinged for easy access.

I also left a 2x2 open on the side and will cover it with wire for natural light and air flow when they get older.


I also got a right nice double yoker today...... right at 3" and weighed 3.03 oz

My sister and my food program lady... I do daycare are scared of chickens.

Why would any one be scared of a chicken.
