You'd probably look great too if all you did was sit around all day and have your devoted human slave feed you an all-organic menu of watercress, hearts of romaine, blueberries, grapes, sunflower seeds, millet, sprouted whole grain bread, peanuts, kale, and mealworms...
Shaken, not stirred!

But seriously, he really is such a sweet boy.

Update for Friends of Peggy:

Peggy as a Free Bird, Day 1
-Out of the pen early and groomed with the gang.
-Got a very serious a** kicking from Pippy, the Big Cheese peacock in these parts.
-Scared me by running off to a distant neighbor's yard.
-Came back to the pen and spent the rest of the day in pen (pen door open in case he wanted to wander).
-Flew (clumsily) into the big oak tree above my house to roost (this is not the tree where the rest of the peas roost, but it is the closest tree to his pen).

Overall, a stressful but successful day.

See i knew he would be ok well untill breeding starts, but as long as he can get away and hide he will be fine, mine give chase threw the woods, up the trees, threw the loft of the barn till the one being chased finds a good hiding place.

Peggy's still doing good today, mingling a bit with the other peas and exploring, and roosting in the tree again tonight. Good job Peggy!

However, I think he can't really fly yet - he had to do a lot of flapping just to get up onto the roof on his way to the tree. The vet had suggested that his flying muscles would be weak from his time in the pen. Do any of you have experience with this? I just want to rule out any other feather/wing problem.
