Advice for Chicken coop with Greenhouse together

We've been collecting materials for ours and we too have a combination of good double pane and older ones. I think one important thing to not forget is good ventilation in the summer so it won't get too hot. We're looking at the automatic window openers for the roof windows. They just pop open when the heat gets to a certain level. I also was looking into a solar fan that would automatically draw out the hot air when it got too hot. lots to think about.

Made good progress this weekend. Got the roof on the coop and run, the walls up and painted, and most of the hardware cloth up (until we ran out)

Foxychicken, are you at all concerned about having a flat roof with a snow load? Just wondering, since we are all here to learn together, and I will be building my version of this in the Spring.

The framing is very substantial due to it also being a living roof, but if we do get a large amount of wet snow we may have to do some shoveling. But the way our winters have been going it might not be an issue!

Woo hoo! The chickens are in the coop! They seem very content and I can't express how much better I feel having them in here rather than that little tractor

We're still working on the greenhouse side of it, but we can take our time on that. I'm just happy to have the coop done!
