My flock has been naturally downsizing over the last few years. For well over a year I've just had 2 older hens. Once passed yesterday and now I feel bad for the lone girl. She's around 10ish years old. I see her walking around by herself now and wonder if I should get her a friend or two? I don't want to add anything that is going to pick on her or cause her issues though. Do you think she'll be okay alone once she gets used to it? Should I look for maybe one older hen to just keep her company? Maybe 2 pullets? How about some baby chicks for her to mother? She is free range during the day, there are a few barn cats that have always been buddies with the chickens.

So she's solo now? Would you like to have more chickens? You could go either way - you could probably find a retired layer or two if you mainly want to ensure she has a flock, or if you'd like to start up a new flock, you could go with chicks/started pullets.

I have a lone chicken and she shares the coop with our rabbit and they hang out together

If you get more chickens or chicks definitely make sure you quarantine them for at least 3 weeks
