The vet has stayed my hen has torn ligaments in her knee area. This has been going on now for about 6 weeks, maybe. She was initially given antibiotics and an antiinflammatory. She is still on the antiinflammatory now.
The vet said she does need to move around, attempt to use the leg, but not jump/roost. This is what I've been doing with her. She free ranges in the yard during the day (once I am home...before that she stays in an enclosed run). At night she stays in my home to avoid the run.
She still holds the leg up most of the time. She now has some red spots on the leg.

Sounds like you're doing what you can.

Do you wrap the leg for support?

Photos of the red spots if they are a concern.

I'm concerned because she was saying with no improvement yet, were likely looking at euthanasia. Hoped someone might have advice.

She said they don't normally wrap it with a chicken.

Can you please post photos?

Can she put any weight on her leg at all?

I'd try wrapping to help stabilize the leg and see if it helps, especially if the vet is talking euthanizing her.
Is she otherwise seemingly healthy?

She holds it up 95 percent of the time.

Beyond this, she's eating and seemingly healthy. I've had her in their run with her flock all day but bring her in at night to roost.

How would I wrap it? Materials...how high up? The swelling is around her "knee."
